New Moms needs our support more than ever! As many of you know, TLV Charities has worked closely with New Moms for the past several years. Last month they suffered a devastating loss as their Austin location experienced a complete system failure due to the storm that hit their facility in early July. The New Moms facility has been down for over a month due to an electric fire that caused disastrous flooding. They’ve had to re-house nearly 40 families into hotels which has been a huge challenge! The current priority is working to help get the facility back up and running so that the families can return to their apartments ASAP.

During the winter holidays, we see a lot of great people giving to wonderful charities. People donate items like winter coats, boots, toys, and more to kids in need. Then the spring comes, and the momentum slows… As we all know, poverty, hard times, and needs don’t go away because the sun is out. So we thought, “Why can’t Santa make a stop early this year?!” We collect new summer toys and clothing items for kids in need such as: Beach balls, sunglasses, swim gear, sunscreen, sporting equipment, etc. You will find our donation boxes located in various businesses and community locations across the nation.

Once we get Veterans involved is to keep them involved — it’s our job to ensure they continue to have easy access to information, a place to turn to with questions, and a place to be a part of a group. Whether it’s camaraderie from volunteering with other members, to spending time with Veterans that are afflicted with Post Wartime Challenges, becoming a member can make an enormous difference by helping Veterans get out of their houses and back into their communities.

This organization's status quo is developing research on effective treatments such as TRP/EMP, and we were able to show that 100 clients were successful at eliminating the symptoms of PTSD in our "Testing the Model" study. Then to solidify our findings, we completed a second study with 100 more clients in "Validating the Model" to show that all of them were PTSD-FREE. The Third Study showed 66 children also became PTSD-FREE, ALL OF THEM! LET THAT SINK IN!
